Standards are good. Open source is better.

This project is written in Perl, and formats the spell information from the Open Gaming Foundation into a Postscript file using TeX. The output is a file which lays out the information into cards on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper, which can be cut up and placed in gaming card protectors.

From these cards you can compose decks of spells that your character can cast, and select the spells into your hand for which spells they have memorized (as applicable).

We still need to do some work on this code to make it ready for release. It should be fair to warn that the software requirements for the code will be fairly steep. At the very least, you will need to have TeX installed. This comes with most popular Linux distributions, but will probably have to be installed separately everywhere else. So be it.
